Collin Canfield will be joining the Barclay Barracudas again this summer as the Head Swim Coach.
This summer will mark Collin’s seventh year as a Tri-County Coach.
Collin swam and dove for the Barclay Farm Swim Club from 1995-2007 and swam for the Burlington County YMCA Hurricanes from 1994-2007. In addition to his summer participation, he swam and dove for Cherry Hill H.S. East and was captain of both the swim and dive teams. After high school, Collin moved on to swim at Widener University from 2007-2011 where he was awarded the title of captain. His events included 100 back, 200 back, 200 fly, 400 I.M. 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle and qualified for all-conference in 200 back, 200 fly, and 400 I.M.
From 2009-2011 Collin served as the Assistant Swim Coach and Head Diving Coach in 2012 at the Deer Brook Swim Club. In 2013, he was Assistant Swim Coach at Greenwood Park Swim Club. Since 2011 he has been the assistant coach for Gloucester City High School Swimming and Diving Team.
Collin made the Dean’s List eight consecutive semesters and graduated from Widener University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education in May 2011. He is a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Alpha Chi honor societies, and is now a special education teacher at Gloucester City Junior / Senior High School.
He is excited to be back at the pool he knows and loves, and looks forward to a great summer!
